Assessment of Article Draft edit

Revisions necessary

You're off to a good start, but you still have a little bit of work to do before moving your material over to mainspace.

  • You need to fix your citations (especially the New York Times citation, which right now just says "newspaper", and is missing the exact dates the article was published).
  • You need to proofread your work for grammar, especially for commas (placed before "which," for instance).
  • The filmography section is a good idea, but you should specify what role she played in each of those films or TV series.

Overall the article is very well written in terms of choices of words and makes it flow nicely. A change would be to combine the first two sentences in the Career section into one paragraph. And clarify what an interest in "race" is in Career. Small spelling mistake in role for "Miracles" in Filmography. Nice job!! Oddball3055 (talk) 19:23, 29 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Overall, there were very few mistakes in your article when I read through it. Your writing is objective and the way you structured each section and paragraph was well thought-out. When copy editing, I noticed the dates of each film and tv series you mentioned were missing in some parts so I added them. I also linked a couple wikipedia pages to people you mentioned, like Shirley Chisholm and Ken Burns. I think your article is very well-put together. If you wanted to improve it, you could add an infobox and/or image.
