Castle edit

I've moved the section on the castle to a new article (Sheriff Hutton Castle). Malpertuis 22:00, 15 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Burial outside London of Prince of Wales edit

The assertion that Sheriff Hutton Church is the only place outside London where a Prince of Wales is buried is incorrect. Arthur, Prince of Wales and eldest son of Henry VII (Tudor) is buried in Worcester. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.243.16.115 (talk) 12:10, 15 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Explanation of changes to article edit

Judging from the Edit History, this article has been subject to a few disagreements. So i thought it diplomatic to explain the changes I have made. Firstly the article as it stood did not follow :WikiProject UK geography - "How to write about settlements", so I have restructured the information broadly along the recommended layout. Secondly I have retained most of the original content, but slightly reworded. Thirdly i have removed the John Rushton quote, as it doesn't seem in line with WP:NPOV. Similarly I have removed the book link in the literature section. This could be re-introduced, if the book had a relevant piece of information that related directly to the article as an in-line citation. Lastly I retained the controversy around the tomb in the church, but provided references to both support and counter the argument (being even-handed). There is still more work that could be done here.Rimmer1993 (talk) 11:56, 21 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
