There are 2 places named "Shelby" in Michigan - one, Shelby Township, is in Macomb County and is adjacent to Sterling Heights and Utica. The other, just "Shelby", is in Oceana County. The two are not physically proximate. You should probably verify the demographic and other data to be sure you are not confusing the two places.

Yes, there is Shelby Township in Oceana County as well as Shelby Charter Township in Macomb County and the village of Shelby also in Oceana County. I've added disambiguation notes.olderwiser 13:16, 29 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Preston Corners at Schoenher Rd. is not the correct location for this Shelby location. It is the other one. edit

The article is confusing the two locations. Preston Corners in the History section needs to be assigned to the Shelby Charter Township in Macomb County. Also, the latitude and longitude are pointing to the Macomb County location. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.36.11.214 (talk) 21:12, 12 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

The Shelby Township that this article is referring to is technically considered a part of the village of Shelby, MI and is not it's own location. The only Shelby Township in Michigan is located in Macomb County. This article should either be combined with the Shelby, Michigan article, or removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.51.116.218 (talk) 15:16, 9 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
