Assamese Brahmins of Sandilya gotra are inhabitants of Assam
I feel proud to say that my native place is in Mangaldai, Assam and we have a scattered number of Sandilya gotra Brahmins.

Room for doubt edit
Our family's oral history states that since Shandilya had great devotion towards Lord Chandra, they became family. So we worship moon god as ancestral worship. Shandilya is the nephew of lord Surya. Busydiggingsecrets (talk) 09:52, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
