== Current Shadow Secretary== Not good with edits-the shadow cabinet need updating. Kerry is no longer Shadow Scretary of anything. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.110.77.173 (talk) 13:31, 27 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Supposed list of ministers edit

I deleted the list of ministers because it is incomplete and inaccurate. The Duke of Montrose is listed as "Shadow Minister for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs" with no dates, and he wasn't even Shadow SoS. Peter Ainsworth is listed for 2001 to 2002, and that's it. Two people, and no Shadow Secretary for the last eight years. The list was worthless, so I deleted it. -Rrius (talk) 08:25, 18 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Shore to Roy Hattersley edit

As I have noted on other talk pages, including Talk:David_Owen#Shadow_Foreign_Secretary_and_Shadow_Energy_Secretary_dates, the date of 14 July 1979 for a change in shadow portfolios seems to me to be problematic. The Shadow Cabinet election result was declared on 14th June and Shore's move to the post of Shadow Foreign Secretary in place of David Owen was reported in the The Glasgow Herald of 15th June 1979.[1] I do not see a source for 14 July, but given the 14 June was the date of the election it would be an easy error to transpose June to July when editing.I suppose it's possible that the actual take up of the new posts was delayed for a month, but without a source I am inclined towards the view that 14 June is the correct date.
