Not a whole lot to say, I'm afraid, but my interest was piqued because I just found that I live there - in the historical sense that is, I wouldn't admit to it now ;-) - I'm sure there are other notable points, but at least this fills things out a bit.

There isn't much to image in Shacklewell, as defined here, but next time I'm doing an photo run I'll grab a pic of the Green and the synagogue, which I haven't mentioned yet.

"Postcodism" edit

Hi, I'm sure that many residents do consider their residence by postcode, or indeed by estate-agentism (east Islington, anyone?). However, the way it reads at the moment it is solely personal opinion - and either needs to be rephrased, or supported by reliable sources - eg press reports. cheers Kbthompson (talk) 10:46, 26 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Prostitution edit

Possibly worth mentioning that Shacklewell is known by some as a red light district - Shacklewell Lane in particular. I don't have a proper citation for this to hand, though, and so won't add it to the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.96.235.0 (talk) 20:39, 14 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I live in nearby April Street. Prostitution is non-existent these days ever since a crack den in Seal Street was cleaned out about three years ago. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.35.195.252 (talk) 22:08, 20 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
