Holocaust denial

Can someone provide information on exactly what his alleged Holocaust denial remarks were, and the circumstances surrounding them? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.240.233.249 (talk) 14:38, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

I took out the long block quotes for two reasons: (1) One of them was cited to a website by Israel Shamir, who cannot be considered a reliable source. I moved the quote to a footnote. (2) The other quote, concerning Thion's arguments about Cambodian genocide, was not referenced. I provided a reference to his arguments on that question and removed the quote, which in any case was not very revealing. 86.44.89.116 (talk) 08:25, 17 April 2010 (UTC)

I don't see anything in this article, including the citations, that directly supports the serious accusation and categorical label of "holocaust denial." I see that Thion has expressed a view similar to that of Normal Finkelstein and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, among others, that certain slaughters have been elevated over others for political reasons. 24.22.217.162 (talk) 23:32, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

My changes did not remove the lead claim that he is known as a holocaust denier, but did reword it to be less categorical, because his position is not categorical. So what is it you're objecting to? 24.22.217.162 (talk) 03:05, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

Your changes removed material sourced to reliable sources, and added unsourced claims. I've added more reliable sources, and there are still others. Holocaust deniers never describe themselves as Holocaust deniers - that is part of their deception. Nevertheless, since reliable sources do describe them that way, so does Wikipedia. And this article doesn't even describe Thion that way - it just says he is known for Holocaust denial. Do you have any reliable sources indicating that he is not known for Holocaust denial? The section on "Holocaust denial" is about Holocaust denial, not "the Holocaust". Please don't change the title again. Also, that section is not about his "career", so please stop misplacing it. Thanks. Jayjg ^(talk) 04:27, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

Also, stop deleting material from the body, and placing it in the lede. The lede is a summary of the article body, it should not have new material. Please review WP:LEDE. Jayjg ^(talk) 04:34, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

Apparently Noam Chomsky once described Thion in passing as a "libertarian socialist". So what? Why is this important at all, much less placed in the article's lede? Jayjg ^(talk) 04:38, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
