What is the issue? You delete the fact that some wrestling events occured at the place? How is the royal rumble not notable? I did a yahoo search and found over 1.3 million hits. Compared to only 200 for "Western Athletic Conference men's basketball tournament." It seems as if the standard being employed for notability is selective at best. In fact the mention of "royal rumble and selland arena" recieved about the same number of hits as the basketball tournament alone. It seems notable enough for inclusion. Also, don't call me a sockpuppet. I am a third party that came across this edit war.CraigMonroe 17:49, 8 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Professional wrestling events are equivalent to circus shows - and just as it is not notable how many times Ringling Bros. played the Greater Fucktardia Center, it's not notable that a certain obscure wrestling event was held at the Selland, or any other sports facility. This is a general knowledge encyclopedia, not a markboard. - Chadbryant 01:57, 9 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the straw man argument. Don't you think it is a bit disingenuous? Come on. The fact there were numerous hits on google shows the flaw in your argument. The events are far from obscure. CraigMonroe 14:53, 9 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
I see no strawmen - I see overzealous editors attempting to insert superfluous pro wrestling references into every article they can. This is still not a wrestling wiki. - Chadbryant 02:31, 10 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
I see a an editor that is attempting to get back at users by removing pro wrestling references out of the articles. DXRAW 09:05, 10 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
I hate to tell you but comparing wrestling to a circus show IS a straw man. Wrestling is a billion dollar industry with entertainers making millions of dollars per year. It has a huge fan base. It is far more comparable to a sporting event than a circus (even if you assume the fact it is fake). To call one of the biggest wrestling events non-notable is assinine. Millions of people watched it, and it is of far more importance than either the MAdonna concert that you had no problem with in a similar edit, or the basketball tournament you continue to ignore on this page. The individual event has its own wiki page, along with numerous non-wiki pages. Is the wiki page also non-notable? Lets analyze that point. Under WP:NOTABILITY, a topic is notable if it is "notable enough that it will be described by multiple independent reliable sources." This is clearly the case with Royal Rumble. Do you have any facts to the contrary? What other issue do you have with a single sourcable mention of a major WWF even being included? Also, please don't revert the article. Doing so places you in volation of WP:POINT, and Wikipedia:Edit war. Thanks. CraigMonroe 13:16, 10 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Where do you think professional wrestling has its roots? Thank you, drive through. - Chadbryant 01:10, 11 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Drive through??? Wrestling started in the circus??? Are you serious? Lets see some support for that. I read the wikipedia article History of professional wrestling and there is not a single mention of the term circus. I also read some outside sources that stated it evolved from boxing, and real wrestling. Even if it did evolve from a circus, it still does not change the fact the events meet wikipedia's notability requirements. Do you dispute there are otuside webpages that discuss the event? Do you also dispute that a single Madonna concert, or a minor college basketball tournament are less notable? Also, please stop deleting the edits with the term vandalism. The edits are not vandalism. See WP:Vandalism. Perhaps you should ask for comment on this topic, instead of constantly reverting.CraigMonroe 14:34, 11 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

No response? Did actually applying WP:Notability cause that much trouble? If so, why the continued deletions? You do realize it is improper to not use the talk page when requested? CraigMonroe 21:49, 16 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
