This page should not be speedily deleted because... (your reason here) --Art Experts (talk) 19:05, 26 October 2011 (UTC)I have already told you: it is only setting out verifiable facts! Dr Whittingham has the right to have his entry which is not promoting him but promoting an interest in J.W.M. Turner, the 19th C painter!----Reply

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --Art Experts (talk) 19:18, 26 October 2011 (UTC)it does not promote any company product or person but is a guide to what a person has written in the field of art history-----Reply

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --Art Experts (talk) 19:26, 26 October 2011 (UTC)the entry has now been shortened further and should meet all your criteria by now. It is an important entry for all scholars interested in the 19th C painter JMW Turner.-----Reply

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --Art Experts (talk) 21:00, 26 October 2011 (UTC)It has been completely re-written but you do not seem to notice!------Reply

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --Art Experts (talk) 23:11, 26 October 2011 (UTC)It has not been reduced to include only some biographical notes. It is not in any way promotional but objective and informative. It would be useful to know what else we could to keep something of this entry on Wikipedia in the interest of art scholars. We have tried to do all in our power to be neutral and it is not in our interest to promote anyone. However, you could perhaps now be a little more helpful to inform us what material in this proposed entry can possibly be partial or promotional?------Reply

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because... (your reason here) --68.56.58.237 (talk) 23:50, 26 October 2011 (UTC) Regretfully I dont have the savvy to help you much - am a 87 year young holocaust survivor - but I do believe strongly the new section re Selby Whittingham should NOT, repeat, not be deleted.Reply

Of course he is somewhat of a controversial figure as he maintains

J.M.W. Turner's USD ONE Billion+ Bequest has not been treated correctly, in accordance with Turner's wishes. That independent stance, shared by Turner's family - see last Sunday's Daily Telegraph of London for more - does not sit well with the Brit so called "art establishment" - please do not be intimidated by threats of censorship + or demands for deletion! If I could contribute more, I'll be happy to PLEASE contact me by email: turnermuseum@turnermuseum.org with SIMPLE instructions.

Douglass Montrose-Graem Founder in 1973 The J.M.W. Turner Museum + Thomas Moran Galleries Treasurer Sarasota County Veterans Commission Life member Disabled American Veterans Listed in "One Thousand GreatAmericans" etc. A great admirer + daily user of Wikipedia - please keep up the great work/service you are doing!

It doesn't seem to be a promotional page now, but no sources are cited for most of the information. Peter E. James (talk) 23:59, 26 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
