Riff

One of the most prominent things about the song is the opening guitar riff that repeats throughout the song. It is similar to the riff from Monty Norman's James Bond theme and was supposedly added to Rivers' version of the song by Chuck Day googuse 04:25, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Hasselhoff

Didn't David Hasselhoff sing the version for the show "Secret Agent Man"? Anyway some mention should be made of that version, whether or not it was used for the show. I don't know exactly what came first, the Hoff or the show.200.121.140.117 08:41, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Secret Asian Man

This could possibly be due to the fact of folks misunderstanding the lyric coupled with Rivers not always enunciating the word "agent" perfectly ( as well he shouldn't - it's rock and roll, man). This is similar to other lyrics heard wrongly such as the line in Bad Moon Rising where folks think John is singing "There's a bathroom on the right." He found it humorous enough to the point when he performs the song today he intentionally sings it using that line instead of the correct line on at least one chorus of the song.THX1136 (talk) 02:14, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

Da Vinci's Notebook parody cover

The comedy a cappella group Da Vinci's Notebook recorded a parody version called "Secret Asian Man" on their 2000 album The Life and Times of Mike Fanning. There is also a bootleg recording of the group performing the song live on The Bob & Tom Show.
