Miscellaneous unsigned comments edit

No, don't redirect it! This article is the predesesor to all of the other articles showing the Shadow Cabinet from 1975-2012. This covers the 1970-1974 period and is, as such, a valuable resour.ce It's not been covered on wikipedia before, so it should stay here.

Admittedly I don't know how to do all the nicities for it to make it look like, say, Shadow Cabinet of Margaret Thatcher, but surely someone else can edit it prettily yeah?

Great! Cheers for sorting this whoever did so... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.113.164.145 (talk) 09:20, 8 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Refurbishment edit

I’ve refurbished this page with some of the niceties mentioned in the comments above, including a table. It is incomplete however, as it is very hard for me to find many of the shadow cabinet positions, and who filled them. Feel free to help out, fact check, or whatever. Deputy Leader of the Opposition? edit

Has anybody got a citation that Short or Jenkins were ever referred to by this title. I know that they were deputy leader of the Labour Party, but I am not sure a) this would automatically make them deputy leader of the opposition (when in power the deputy leader of the Labour Party is not automatically Deputy Prime Minister - indeed Short did not get the title in 1974) b) I am not sure that this title is commonly used.
