Lau Ching Wan won the 2012 Golden Horse Award for his performance in Johnny To's film Life Without Principle.
These awards are comparable to the American Oscars, and certainly should be mentioned in the article.
Also, the article states that Lau Ching Wan had a difficult time at first finding acting jobs because he did not fit Chinese notions of how a leading man looks. To Western eyes, this actor is an attractive man of distinctly Asian appearance who, perhaps, had an African grandfather or great-grandfather. It would be interesting to know his ethnic heritage. Not unusual at all. Simon Yam and Leslie Cheung for example. Two of the most strikingly handsome men ever to grace the screen.
