correct seal? edit

User Adaruo removed the image of the subject of this article with the message "Removed incorrect state seal." I'm pretty sure it is the correct seal? I invite further explanation of why it is incorrect. In the mean time I will be reverting the change. Jno.skinner (talk) 17:14, 28 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps it is a reference to the image being in full color instead of gold and blue. https://nebraskalegislature.gov/pdf/bluebook/11-19.pdf https://sos.nebraska.gov/state-symbols although, this law (others?) does not specify https://www.netstate.com/states/symb/seals/documents/ne_statute.htm full color renditions seem to be popular on etsy. Full-color renditions of the seal aren't uncommon in official use either. One appears, for example in this courthouse mural from 1916. Jno.skinner (talk) 21:01, 28 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
That is awesome looking. AManWithNoPlan (talk) 21:46, 28 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

mountains edit

Mention that the range depicted is not within the current borders of Nebraska? I only have a dead-link and unauthoritative source: https://redd.it/3qhw64 Arlo James Barnes 05:34, 15 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

You are correct. Officially the mountain range shown is the Rocky Mountains, which are not in Nebraska. (Though they did fall within the previous border of Nebraska territory.) I have added a mention and a source. Jno.skinner (talk) 23:58, 1 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
