Scota's name means "blossom" edit
"Queen Scota's name means "blossom" in Irish and Scottish Gaelic. Scotti was once a synonym for Irish, indicating that they (Irish and Scots) are "people of the blossom," or descendants of Queen Scota"
The word for 'blossom' in both Irish and Scots Gaelic is bhlàth
As such, unless the languages have changed radically, the sentences quoted above would appear to be erroneous.
If this is an assertion of fact, it needs to be backed up with a credible reference.
