Changes to Synopsis edit

@Jirka.h23: I understand why you would want to inform readers further about the game's setting, but even in cases where video games provide further details of their plot through tie-in media, it's even rarer that this is done in a Wikipedia article; you will find it very hard to find any game article where its setting/synopsis references details from exterior sources outside of the game itself. Even if it provides clarity to the setting, the synopsis in the article should only follow what is laid out in the final product, otherwise you might as well mention details that were planned and then cut from the game that equally have no bearing on the story.

Concerning my other grievances, if certain landmarks are not named in the game and only through other sources (and from what I've seen of the game, this is the case), they should not be given in the synopsis. This also goes for names mentioned in the synopsis that are only used once, indicating they have no notable bearing on the story. Finally, as advised, you need sources confirming that the game was influenced by the Alien Space Jockey, and that the art style took inspiration from Zdzisław Beksiński. I have to disagree with you here, it is completely normal to write information about story from manuals. In many games, this is the only way to learn more about the story. Look for example to Blackthorne or Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, in the game theres nothing about history of planet Tuul, shaman, Thoros, mercenary Kyle, prison facing martial court, world Draenor, portal to another world for Orcs, etc. etc. I would find many such examples. Everything is sourced by the manual. I don't know why it bothers you in this game. You would now have to delete a large part of the content from many other games, but the rules do not prohibit this in any way, on the contrary, any clarification is welcome, especially when it comes to such an important matter as what happened here.Jirka.h23 (talk) 16:08, 14 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
