No, unfortunately not. What is 'Sauerländer Heimatbund'? It could be a school, a drinking club, a building, a university, a newspaper, a company, a government committee, or almost anything: personally I have no idea, even after looking at the wikilinked articles. And I don't know what a Verein is in this context, nor what Sauerland is (until I followed the link). So is 'Sauerländer Heimatbund' an example of a 'Eingetragener Verein'? If so, that should be stated up front, with an explanation for a non-German speaker of what a 'Eingetragener Verein' is. status and advice

As reviewing administrator, I think the article indicates the subject has some importance, os this is not a speedy. One could suspect that from th notable mebers,and its confirmed by a reading of the German article However, for the English Wikipedia, the article as it stands will ned additional material, as follows:

1. The descriptive material in the German article needs to be translated in full, and added.
2. The importance of the people mentioned should be explained further. Lenze does not have an article in enWP--the german one should be translated into here also.
3. Most important, you must have 3rd party independent reliable published sources, print or online (but not blogs or press releases) that show the notability of the subject--magazine or newspaper articles about it, or books mentioning it in a substantial way. It's OK if they are in German, but then you should translate the title, and probably quote and translate a key sentence or two. The deWP does not always insist on this for things whose importance is obvious, but the enWP does. And much may be obvious to a typical German that is not obvious at all to a typical English speaker
4. Things notable in any country are notable in enWP also, but it has to be shown in English.

Further Appeal

Please can someone tell me what this article is about? From this discussion I think it's some kind of committee to promote a region of Germany (possibly culturally or economically, not sure), but the first paragraph should tell me that (or, ir I'm wrong, what it actually is about). Why is this "thing" notable? There's a list of "notable persons", but what have they got to do with the subject? Have they been members of this committee? What has the committee achieved? Are there any Secondary sources? Sure, this has been deemed notable in the German version, but the English version, as it stands, does not demonstrate this. Thanks. Sorry, I guess you are wrong. It is a traditional and important organization for Sauerland culture and 3,000 members are a lot, aren't they?
