Plot summary too detailed

As of 17 Nov 2016, the plot summary of this article was clearly too long and detailed, being 614 words long, longer than the plot summaries in many articles about full length feature films. It had been appropriately tagged with a "story" tag since 13 Nov 2013. I removed many of the detailed scene descriptions, retaining a description of the plot, and reducing it to 205 words. On 20 Nov, IP user 81.152.221.139 greatly expanded it again, to 446 words, adding detailed scene descriptions such as changing "Mammy races back home, during which scene her face is briefly shown for the one and only time." to "Mammy is enjoying a nice game of bridge with her friends when she receives the call and is informed of a wild party taking place at her house. Furiously deducing who must be responsible, Mammy slams down the phone, excuses herself and rushes out, sending the cards flying. Mammy races back home at 90 miles an hour (briefly showing her face for the only time in the series) and is so furious she doesn't even stop to open the door, instead ripping it and it's frame right out of the wall and screeching to a halt right in front of the partying felines."

PLOTSUM says that a plot summary "should not cover every scene and every moment of a story." It says "Anything that is not necessary for a reader's understanding of these three elements [plot, character and theme] ... should not be included." It recommends that plot summaries for feature films should be 400-700 words and TV shows should be 100-200 words. A 400+ word description for a one reel cartoon is far too long and detailed, so I have reverted the change. reissue date

What was the date that this short was reissued (month/day/year)? It doesn't say on imdb or on the Big Cartoon Database. The first cartoon to use the blue MGM logo was Neapolitan Mouse which was made in 1953 though wasn't released till 1954. Mice Follies was the first to use the blue Tom and Jerry title card. --Evope (talk) 05:25, 22 December 2022 (UTC)
