Spelling edit
I am not sure on the spelling of her name. The book cited on Women Legislators by Elizabeth Cox spells her name Sarah E. Kelogg. Other sources use Kellogg. On Google Books sources she's noted as Kellog see here. I'm sure a more skilled editor than I can sort it out. User:PigeonChickenFish? User:KylieTastic? - FloridaArmy checking newspapers.com for "Sarah E. Kellogg" in California has 409 hits but none for "Sarah E. Kelogg"; for newspaperarchive.com for "Sarah E. Kellogg" in California has 263 hits but none for "Sarah E. Kelogg" it reported 3 but after looking all where OCR issue - so none in reality; Also I see similar for "Kellogg, Sarah E." vs "Kelogg, Sarah E." so I would take that single book entry as just a simple typo.
