The pig edit

Is there any sort of memorial for the pig (for example, a statue) at this site? After all, the pig was the only casualty in this war. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.239.5.97 (talk) 19:16, 5 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Intended expansion to include recreation and additional historical context edit

I'm planning to expand and edit this article as part of an assignment for a class on Building Successful Online Communities. The current article doesn't contain much on the topography of the areas, and recreational opportunities on the grounds of this park, which I think are the reasons most people visit them. There's also historically significant information not included in the articles. Happy to have feedback and guidance on these edits, as I'm relatively new to wikipedia and this kind of page in particular. Alexstonehill (talk) 21:41, 15 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Overhaul complete edit

I revised this article in full, as mentioned above, including adding more information about Native habitation and current recreational uses and wildlife. Feedback is welcome. Thanks to those who did earlier work on this page. Alexstonehill (talk) 21:55, 30 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Very nice work, thank you! Please put references after punction (MOS:CITEPUNCT). Also citation 7 links to the generic homepage of the park, and it would be much more beneficial if these several sentences were referenced to a specific page on it. The templates at the bottom were duplicated. There's also a discrepancy between the 2,141 acres you added and the 2,072 acres in the infobox, so can you find the most recent source for it? The rest of your content is great. Reywas92Talk 23:32, 30 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the review! I took care of most of the things you suggested. This was my first major page edit, so it appreciate your guidance on style etc.Alexstonehill (talk) 00:06, 14 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the updates. Citation 1 is dead, try [1] instead. Still not sure where 2,141 acres came from, it's in the index too at 2,146. It's ref 11 now that should link to more specific articles on the NPS site. Reywas92Talk 06:54, 14 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
The 2141 acres is in the basic info section on the NPS site, (what is now Citation 11). I'm struggling with getting the citations into the info box, but that should be the reference for the acreage in the info box as well. Also citations 1 and 4 are the same, but again, the info box citation system is flummoxing me. Thanks for your help! Alexstonehill (talk) 16:48, 14 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Ha you're right, I guess they're exluding the 4.5 acres that are privately owned there. I fixed that for you, sometimes it's easier to edit the source than in visual mode. Reywas92Talk 18:13, 14 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
