Ghost towns Low‑importance

Which ranch? edit

I am confused about two different places identified as the site of San Juan City. One is that it's now San Juan Ranch, which is 21 miles from Creede, along Crooked Creek, a little west of Highway 149. Another is Freemon's Guest Ranch, which is off Clear Creek, and about 17 miles from Creede, per Jenssen. ~~(I think Google maps says 13.9 miles).~~ So, for the moment, I set the article's Coord for San Juan Ranch - and there are two separate sections for each ranch.

I'm still working on sorting this out, but if someone has a good definitive site or can help me understand the differences in the sources, that would be great.–CaroleHenson (talk) 19:14, 6 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

I think I've got it now, it seems clearly to be the present Freemon's Guest Ranch, but if I have misunderstood something, please let me know. It was a really tangled mess.–CaroleHenson (talk) 01:58, 7 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
