Fair use rationale for Image:Samarmy.jpg edit

Image:Samarmy.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 11:56, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Born Date edit

We know that her birthday is the 4th of September, as David Brown said it on the 4:30 news. Does anyone know about the year? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alltrainzfan (talkcontribs) 04:50, 5 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Family lineage section edit

I have just stumbled upon this article. The family lineage appears to apply undue weight to a topic that is unsourced to Armytage and contains some OR. There is no source for the claim she is descended from George Armytage and no source for the dispossession of aboriginal lands (as true as it may be) whilst only the last sentence in the two paragraphs is cited to a source linked to the subject of the article.

Unless sources are produced to remedy these issues, I propose to remove all but the last sentence of the section, reworded to say she grew up on a property near Adaminaby. Cavalryman (talk) 10:27, 22 June 2020 (UTC).Reply

There's an abundance of sources that support Samantha is a descendant of George; I've added one to the article. Though I agree the family lineage section is undue weight in its current format. It does, of course, shed some light on why she became such a racist individual, though that connection is still synthesis unless a reliable source directly connects the two subjects. Up to date profile pic edit

Any chance of an updated pic? the last 7 years have been kind to her body and face!--Femanistfantasical (talk) 10:56, 9 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

...only if you can find a more recent image of her that has the appropriate licensing to upload to Wikimedia Commons. Since we already have a free image of her in the article, it would be impossible to justify a non-free one, even if the one we already have is several years old. Feel free to go searching for a more recent free image if it's that important to you. Damien Linnane (talk) 14:12, 9 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Sued for racial vilification edit

Does anyone have any information on the outcome of the case before the Federal Court? It was announced by the media that a case for racial villification was being taken to the Federal Court, although this was some 18 months ago. 144.139.198.37 (talk) 02:29, 12 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Nothing seems to have been reported about it. A lot of court cases take a long time to get off the ground, and this has been exacerbated by the pandemic, so I'm not too surprised there's no updates yet. Damien Linnane (talk) 23:35, 12 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
