[1] said Chester CB sought to absorb Saltney in the 1960s - which would have varied the England/Wales border! Note to self: research this. Morwen - Talk 10:22, 5 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Saltney, England edit

I just redirected Saltney, England here. I haven't merged the material there since it seemed to be mainly about the areas in Chester which are supposedly considered part of Saltney. I welcome any reliable sources about how locality names are used in Chester. Looking at the map, the national border almost follows the railway line, and would seem to provide a 'natural' eastern boundary for Saltney, but a small sliver, the Saltney Park Drive area is actually in England. Or is it the Clivedon Road area which is claimed to be Saltney? This already has its own name, Lache. Morwen - Talk 17:54, 3 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hah, and then I find it - [2] claims "Saltney (or Higher

Saltney) is the English sector of the greater Saltney community, the majority of which resides in Wales and is known as Saltney Town." So I'll add that. Morwen - Talk 17:57, 3 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Redefined this from source material to attempt further clarification. This was after some confusion in previous (good faith) edits which disabled most of the infobox display. Perhaps further clarification is needed, with reference to Higher Saltney (English Saltney) likely being Lache? Snowy 1973 23:40, 30 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
