There were 3,206 households out of which 31.9% had children under the age of 50 living with them, 0% were married couples living together

Did the census really define children as people under 50? I really don't believe there are NO married couples living in the 3,206 households in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 7,989.5 people, 16,000,000,000 households, and 2,151 families residing in the city. The population density was 629.0 people per square mile (242.9/km²).

I don't think there are 16 billion households in Sallisaw. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.61.166.10 (talk) 13:59, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Mention of Sallisaw in Nirvana song edit

I removed, "In the Nirvana (band) song, Come as You Are (Nirvana song), Kurt mentions Sallisaw." I don't think Sallisaw is in the lyrics. AnnaJune (talk) 23:26, 16 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

See Wikipedia:WikiProject Cities/US Guideline for guideline for US City articles. Notice how little this article has compared to this guideline....thus is why it isn't "substantial" nor "C" rated. • SbmeirowTalk • 17:41, 13 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Article reclassification edit

There have been a number of additions to the content of this article since the comment above. I believe the content is now "substantial", though admittedly the definition is broad enough to vary among editors. I am renominating this for Class C. Bruin2 (talk) 18:42, 14 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Trainstation Transportation edit

Economically Smart Transit for locals in need.

Thoughts or suggestions on a carpool boxcar with local railway authorities. Would save emissions on travel from county to county for rural citizens. A low cost effort for lower and middle class families. Not to mention creating job security for railroad workers and local co-miners and their families! Save the vehicles for days off and family travel. 23.236.23.44 (talk) 01:05, 21 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
