Renaming edit

Hope Hospital has now been re-named as Salford Royal Hospital with the new building to be called the Hope Building. Richerman 17:52, 9 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Because of the name change the image on this page has become dated, its needs updating — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dootson (talkcontribs) 15:45, 30 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Not really, it just needs an appropriate caption (FTFY). Please sign your posts to talk pages. Mr Stephen (talk) 16:21, 30 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Can the 'History' section be reworded regarding the various name changes? I cannot work out what the sequence of events was. Is it talking about two different hospitals? SandJ-on-WP (talk) 05:55, 21 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hope Hall: anything left ? edit

The history section says about Hope Hall: "Some of the original Victorian buildings remain at the centre of the site, but these are to be replaced by a new development, commencing early 2007".
This sentence needs rewriting/deleting. Can anybody with the local knowledge say what's happened (or is happening) to H.H.? --Jotel (talk) 08:12, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think the sentence actually referred to Victorian hopital buildings rather than being anything to do with Hope Hall. Some of them are still in use but I've reworded the sentence now anyway. Richerman (talk) 10:28, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hope hall was not on the site of Hope hospital . Hope hall was to the east of Lancaster road and north of Eccles Old Road http://www.parksandgardens.ac.uk/component/option,com_parksandgardens/task,site/id,6203/Itemid,293/

The salford Royal Hospital where the nurses were killed during the WWII was the original salford royal Hospital on Chapel Street, Salford , not Hope hospital — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.27.50.207 (talk) 14:19, 9 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Service changes edit

"Under new proposals by the Greater Manchester Strategic Health Authority, Salford Royal has lost its maternity and neonatal services".
This does not read right: if some services have been lost, 'new proposal' are no longer proposals. Could someone more familiar with the subject provide a more suitable wording, making clear what was done, and what is still a proposal? And provide supporting references, as what's listed under "Making It Better" is too general?--Jotel (talk) 15:10, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Redevelopment edit

I have added information about the development that has been completed and what work still remains to be carried out, i was working at the hospital at the time the work started so i know the basic plan of whats happening — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dootson (talkcontribs) 15:39, 30 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Subject matter edit

This page is entitled "Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust" but then talks about the hospital building and then development work being done on the site. Is the title wrong because the content talks about the hospital, or is the content wrong because it tells us nothing about the Trust? SandJ-on-WP (talk) 05:58, 21 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • The title makes no sense to me either. The article is about the hospital, not about the foundation that runs it. МандичкаYO 😜 21:11, 9 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
