"Injun"? How'd that sneak by? I do not think redneck is a recognized ethnic group is it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.213.151.2 (talk) 19:34, 12 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I want to come home, but where are the jobs? edit

I left Salamanca when I was 13. Both mom and dad are deceased and buried there. Now, I want to return home to Salamanca. I have a B.A. I have over 30 years office support experience, inclusive of management. I am proficient in most MicroSoft Office Products. I am well-versed in bookkeeping, accounting, reconciliation processing, data entry and am used to pressure and deadlines. I am detail-oriented and accept any challenge. Again, I have been looking, but where are the jobs? Any and all help would be appreciated. Lju1952 (talk) 15:26, 15 April 2010 (UTC)LarryReply

Removed "The city of Salamanca is the only U.S. city that was built on land leased from an Indian reservation. The lease from the Senecas is in effect until 2030." because it is wrong on two counts. First, it is not "only" city...; Palm Springs CA is also on Indian land. Also, it is not on a Reservation, it is on a Territory. There is a difference. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.255.172.126 (talk) 16:21, 11 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Replaced Allegany Reservation with Allegany Territory of the Seneca Nation of Indians. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.255.172.126 (talk) 16:23, 11 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Removed reference to being surrounded by Town of Salamanca because it is not correct. Town of Great Valley borders it to north-east and east.

Erroneous claim as to the railroad station edit

The statement of the Rail museum in its webpage cites the station as being for the Erie Railroad, which later became the Erie Lackawanna Railroad. This station is in the center of the city. The Buffalo, Rochester and Pittsburgh Railroad station, later acquired, along with the BRP line, is two miles to the east of the Erie station, as indicated by the Index of Railroad Stations, in the Official Guide of the Railways, August 1949. Thus, the title of the photograph, and the caption here were incorrect.Dogru144 (talk) 17:10, 2 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
