Who wrote this? All men in the 'notable alumni'. Seriously. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.132.11.86 (talk) 11:19, 21 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Football, football and more football edit

I attended SHC in the 80s. Interesting to see nothing has changed, ie its all about schoolboy footy

Nothing about Paringa Hall, the marist brothers, the boarding house etc. Ozbrettdj 01:36, 28 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I atteneded then too, great to see that they have acknowldged everything about football and nothing else, looks like there's been no notible female students in the last 25 years either. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.202.21.141 (talk) 01:24, 4 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

What is your problem? The school has not created this page - Wikipedians have. So if you think more content should be included, then do so yourself! I wholeheartedly agree that if notable females have attended the school then they should be recognised - that's the point of Wikipedia, anyone can edit! Football Issues edit

Currently in an unintended edit war with Pdfpdf over the notability of the following statement:

The college came to media attention in August 2013 when it was reported that Cory Gregson, a player within its first XVIII was not permitted to make his League debut with the Glenelg Football Club due to him being required to play in an inter-school game against Rostrevor College.[1]

Considering this issue was reported in both print and broadcast media and is an ongoing issue in local football, it can be considered notable. In addition, it seems a bit strange to pull that statement out as being of questionable notability when it was one of the few statements that is referenced within this article and there are a number of questionable claims that have now been marked as citation needed. a) Unintended or otherwise, your reversion of my challenge to your edit is contrary to WP policy. I'm pleased that you have responded by posting on the talk page and stopping any further edit warring.
b) What media attention? I'm guessing that the Guardian Messenger is the local-to-Sacred-Heart free weekly newspaper? If not, please inform me.
c) Sacred Heart is a venerable institution that's been around for a LONG time. You really need to devote some serious effort to convince me, and/or anyone else, that this is a "really important" topic that deserves appearing at the top of the article.
d) Please pay particular attention to the fact that I didn't delete your contribution.
e) However, please also pay attention to the fact that I simply moved it to the bottom of the article to a position more appropriate to the importance of the issue. Again, you really need to devote some serious effort to convince me, and/or anyone else, that this topic is more important than the history of the school, and/or any description of the school, and/or any description of the school's curriculum, and/or its activities, and/or its achievements

You justification of location of this information is valid, the bottom of the article is sufficient. I notice an anonymous user has deleted it now, i will reinstate.Screech1616 (talk) 06:07, 12 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
