Fair use rationale for Image:STREAMS - Screenshot of Program.jpg edit

Image:STREAMS - Screenshot of Program.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I'm taking the advertising tag off. Sources and further reading show notability, there exists a criticism section. This is an Intelligent Transport System created by what was originally a government entity. Refs show it services three Australian states. There are no unacceptable advertising claims being made here, it's just general information stuff.PseudoGreen (talk) 07:01, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have added the advert tag back because the guidelines clearly say that content hosted in Wikipedia is not for: (...) 4. Self-promotion It it obvious it is written by people associated with the company developing the software.

5. Advertising, marketing or public relations. Information about companies and products must be written in an objective and unbiased style, free of puffery. a) The opening paragraph has a reference to Department of Main Roads (Queensland) which is an agency of the owner of the company. b) Statements like "New versions of STREAMS are regularly released as state-of-the-art functionality is developed." are clearly not appropriate in a Wikipedia article.

The article doesn't also comply with the following guileline: All article topics must be verifiable with independent, third-party sources, so articles about very small "garage" or local companies are typically unacceptable.

I also don't believe that the article, while informative, represents neutral point of view. maju (talk) 13:44, 5 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

I have added several references to support the information about Transmax and STREAMS. Transmax is a Brisbane company that provides the STREAMS ITS to the state road authorities in Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, and the ACT. The company is currently involved in trials of its managed motorways capability with the Colorado Department of Transportation, and the Utah Department of Transportation in the USA. It is not a very small or 'garage' company. It currently employs more than 110 people and has an annual turnover in excess of $14 million (AUD). I have also rewritten much of the text to remove the 'advertese' and make the language more factual. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pokeybun (talkcontribs) 21:58, 14 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
