Tone concerns edit

I've tagged the article as having tone concerns. As long as the information is good they're currently not a major problem but in my opinion phrases such as "covering the amazing life and works of Ryszard Horowitz." and "Honing his craft under on of the most influential people in the industry of editorial design and photography" contribute to an overall tone that isn't entirely in keeping with an encyclopaedic treatment of the subject or the formal, business like tone described in Wikipedia:Writing better articles#Tone. Speedy deletion edit

someone tagged this for speedy deletion citing notability issues. This makes no sense. Ryszard Horowitz has been highly regarded within the photography/advertising industry for over 4 decades. He has won some of the most prestigious awards within his field, was art director for one of the largest, most identifiable advertising firms in NY and his works have been displayed in galleries worldwide. His artwork has appeared in advertising for some of the strongest brands recognized (DeBeers). He is featured in every major artist directory. He has had books written about him and been interviewed numerous times by art publications. He was a pioneer of what is now called digital imaging. Digital imaging is used everywhere now a days. You can not open a magazine or turn on the t.v. without seeing some sort of digital imaging and someone thinks that one of the pioneers of this type of art is not notable???

Beyond his commercial works he has also received notoriety for photographing some of the most famous jazz musicians in American History. (Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Paul Desmond, Duke Ellington, Aretha Franklin, Coleman Hawkins, Carmen McRae, Charles Mingus, Thelenious Monk, Jerry Muligan, Sonny Rollins, Jimmy Rushing, Dave Brubeck, etc.,)

I would definitely have to question the reliability of Wikipedia's collection of encyclopedic information if someone of Ryszard's level of importance and influence was deemed un-notable.
