Courthouse No Longer Site of Courts edit

The Rutherford County courts no longer operate out of the Historic Courthouse. This appears to have caused confusion elsewhere on Wikipedia, as the image of the historic courthouse from this page is on the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro page as a picture of the site of lawsuits about the Center. Adding a reference to its disuse as a the county courthouse to the article. Parcequilfaut (talk) 05:40, 27 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Unknown History of Courthouse edit

There is not much known about the courthouse between 1822-1859. After the courthouse burnt down in 1822, the state legislature meetings were held at the local Presbyterian Church until the capitol was moved to Nashville in 1826. It is likely that there was not a great need for a courthouse, so the church was used during this time period, but there is not any definitive information available on the subject. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rsavage4394 (talkcontribs) 21:28, 13 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
