University ratings

(I'm posting this to all articles on UK universities as so far discussion hasn't really taken off on Wikipedia:WikiProject Universities.)

There needs to be a broader convention about which university rankings to include in articles. Currently it seems most pages are listing primarily those that show the institution at its best (or worst in a few cases). See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Universities#University ratings. Copyrights

Most of the article appears to be reproducing the content of the RAC website - although the status of the text on the site is unclear. This may be a problem given Wikipedia's requirements concerning copyright violations. Before I remove it all would someone care to clarify? Lame Name (talk) 11:30, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Renaming of article

We now have referenced graduates from a time before the university existed. Surely the old college article should have been left (and should be restored) as a history of the college and a new article started for its continuation as a university. Lame Name (talk) 09:30, 9 May 2013 (UTC)

We are not discussing the institution. We are discussing a Wikipedia article. The RAC has long, notable and verifiable history and should have an encyclopaedic article to document it. Lame Name (talk) 12:22, 9 May 2013 (UTC)

If the History section gets too long then maybe we could consider breaking it out, but at the moment that would not be justified. See UMIST for an article on an institution that was merged into another. But the Alumni section is indeed very long and a breakout of a list article would be justified. This article should keep an overview of the kinds of careers that alumni have followed. Itsmejudith (talk) 13:14, 9 May 2013 (UTC)

Bias and copying?

Vast sections of this article, particularly those focused on entrepreneurship at the university, are seemingly copied from RAU's website. Some paragraphs even use the pronouns 'us' and 'we' when referring to the university.
