I was surprised to find no refs on Google to either the POW camp or the prison. I know it it is true - my daddy took me there once when I was little and it was a prison - but can someone please confirm and say what the site is now. -- RHaworth 10:33, 12 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
Found one now about the pow camp. As the ref shows, the prisoners went out to work on the neighbouring farms. Some of the lads met and married local girls and never went back to their home countries. -- RHaworth 10:41, 12 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
