Reception edit

This article fails to really emphasize the absolute failure of this game. It should quote more liberally from Campbell's famous review. This game was a seminal exemplary example of game industry garbage. It was literally worthless.

Not completely worthless. I mean, it's a well known fact the gameplay blew, but the graphics were actually very advanced for the time. The problem with this article right now is that it's just a bunch of text copied out of the manual. Something for which I am to blame, as a matter of fact. I've been planning to edit this for ages but I just don't get around to it. --Steerpike 09:44, 22 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia is not a dumping ground. If the game received bad acclaims, that is fine. But the article does not need biased remarks, as this shifts the article into a POV light, turning it from a valid article or definition to a biased thought. -Emhilradim 11:29, 10 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

In fact the famous review was by Jonathan Davies,[1] not Stuart Campbell. It's still a good read today, and the final paragraphs have sadly not dated in the fifteen years since they were written. -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 21:16, 26 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Things that this article doesn't say edit

This article doesn't say this:

• The ECO35-2 contains a human inside (because, when he dies, in some ports, you see one eye of the robot broke and the eye of a human)

• In the PC port (I don't know if this is in another port), the player 2 can select the ECO35-2.

Sorry for my bad english, Im from another country (if i wrote bad english). 190.190.76.64 (talk) 21:23, 19 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Characters edit

Hi @GrandLeader:,

Could you say why it was necessary to revert an unsourced section on non-notable characters? It is essentially a WP:GAMEGUIDE section, explaining the enemies encountered. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 20:07, 11 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

"A film based on the Rise of the Robots" edit

I noticed that @GrandLeader has added the information about "a film based on the Rise of the Robots". I considered this addition as unsourced material and I reverted it. However, because I can't find any information anywhere about the upcoming film, or any source to back this up, I would consider this addition a hoax as well. – // Hounder4 // 17:51, 15 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

"Future" section edit

The "Future" section has information that is not mentioned in a citation given. The section says "On 17 may 2016, It is announce that Rise of the Robots will be reboot in the future.", or in later revisions, "On May 17th 2016, It was announced that Rise of the Robots will be rebooted." None of this is mentioned in the this Metro reference. I've checked that ref, and there isn't any announcement that a remake or reboot of the game is going to happen, so this "future" section is removed. – Hounder4 02:14, 28 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
