Developing some of the details.. edit

A few recent articles about the Ring of Fire, specifically regarding government support. I don't have time at the moment to write anything up but I'll post these and if someone has a chance, they can do it. Otherwise I will at a later date http://netnewsledger.com/2011/08/25/130-billion-investments-projected-over-next-five-years-canadian-mining-industry/ & http://sootoday.com/content/news/full_story.asp?StoryNumber=53580 Saultperstar (talk) 04:58, 26 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Why the name? edit

I came here hoping to learn why the name was "Ring of Fire", as compared to the actual (Pacific) Ring of Fire. If there's fire, I want to see it. If it's a ring, I want to see that too. 24.57.210.141 (talk) 07:08, 10 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Geology needed edit

The Ring of Fire in itself is a geological phenomenon. It is secondarily a history of mining projects and their associated political issues. While mining and native relations are interesting and important in their own terms, the article needs extensive enlargement including the geological information available. Otherwise, it's skewed in a very peculiar way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mehcaver (talkcontribs) 04:30, 14 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

another ref? edit

Perhaps the article "Fight Heats Up Over Canada's Ring of Fire" by Vipa Monga (Wall Street Journal, September 29, 2023, p. A10) should be added as a recent article on the politics of the place. 199.127.133.181 (talk) 19:51, 2 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
