About Ivan Rilski edit

His Name IS NOT John, it's Ivan

Names of saints and early Christian leaders are very often Anglicized: see e.g. John Chrysostom (not Ioannes Chrysostomos), John of Damascus (not Ioannes Damaskinos), etc. TodorBozhinov 09:09, 8 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Actually his name is not Ivan, but Iwan (pronounced 'Yoan') where 'w' is opened O. Headhunter pl (talk) 14:40, 7 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Content questions edit

I have some pictures of their pre-industrial era washing machine. Is that appropriate for this entry? It's also a popular tourist attraction, should their be more about that aspect of what the Rila Monastery is today?

Sure, that would be cool. As you can see, we have an overly big gallery that is full of all the usual photos of the monastery. The washing machine would surely be interesting, I don't think I've seen it myself either. Cheers, TodorBozhinov 06:24, 19 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
