Sharp was best known as a figure in society and for his social/conversational/ intellectual abilities rather than his more modest achievements as an MP. From this point of view the sobriquet 'Conversation Sharp' might be most apt, but Wiki's cross-referencing seems to have largely solved the problem of distinguishing him from footballers, etc Mariakinnaird (talk) 17:28, 4 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
