Richard of Middleton edit

The theologian w:it:Riccardo Middleton (in English: Richard Middleton, 1249-1302) seems not be indentifiable with the theologian Richard of Middleton (1249-c.1308). Both of them wrote a commentary to the Sentences of Peter Lombard.

The first one was Lord Cancellor of king henry III of England, but the dates of birth and death prevent us on identifying him with Richard Middleton (Lord Chancellor) (died in 1272). However, the anagraphic data are uniquely based on a couple of sources.

Meanwhile, Richard of Middleton can be hopefully added to the disambiguation page. For example, Jewish surnames often take origin from the place of birth in which a branch of a prominent noble family had established from a determinate time onwards.Philosopher81sp (talk) 11:10, 14 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
