Newt's mother's name

Magge was Newt's mother, it was made known in Lonesome dove that Newt's last name was Dobbs. In this articles list of Characters her name has been stated as Tilton.

At the end of Return to Lonesome Dove, Call say Dobbs that is yor mothers name then Call is a name that's brought no shame. So what is Maggie's last name? 96.18.1.172 (talk) 23:48, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

You have to remember that this movie was not written by Lonesome Dove's original author Larry McMurtry, so this line coming out of Call's mouth in Return is just a lazy TV writers' BS (as is the entire plot, what fiction fans like to call non-canonical since it has nothing at all to do with McMurtry's own sequel Streets of Laredo). McMurtry gives Maggie's last name as Tilton and Newt's as Dobbs, in both Lonesome Dove and in its prequel Comanche Moon in which Newt is born. Reading between the lines, Maggie must have made up Dobbs just to give her son a last name, since Call would not acknowledge him. (This might actually be said in the novel; it's been a while since I've read it.) She also would not likely have given him her own last name, which would have marked him as the bastard of a prostitute. JustinTime55 (talk) 17:48, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

Colin Meloy as Rancher McKeller

I believe Colin Meloy (of the Decembrists) was Rancher KcKeller (See ) but I have no idea how to properly put this in the article
