And, by the way, the French version of this article is called

How is this "the right page?" Some people call it "boul. René-Lévesque"; some people call it "René Lévesque Boulevard"; some people call it "Dorchester Boulevard." Nobody, but nobody, calls it "René Lévesque (Dorchester) Boulevard." It would be like calling the article on Berri-UQAM (Montreal Metro) "Berri-UQAM (Berri-de Montigny) (Montreal Metro)".

I suggest the article be at René Lévesque Boulevard (if I had my druthers it would be at Boulevard René-Lévesque, though I'd never hear the end of it), with Dorchester Boulevard and the rest as redirects. Regardless of our dispute about official vs. anglicized names, I'm quite sure we can agree it's preferable to have an article title that someone uses. - Montréalais 03:44, 25 July 2005 (UTC)

Montrealais, generally, I agree with you, which you can see at Talk:Saint Jacques Street, but this is different. The street has two names- in Montreal it is Rene Levesque (sorry, too lazy for accents), but in Westmount it is still called Dorchester. The Westmount stretch is also an important part of the street, so we can't just ignore it. Also, people can type in Rene Levesque or whatever, as there are many redirects.--Larineso 00:59, 26 July 2005 (UTC)

The name of this article, as it stands, is nonsensical. It should be René Lévesque Boulevard (or Boulevard René-Lévesque), but not some sort of hybrid of the English and French. If Dorchester Boulevard in Westmount is indeed an important subject, then let it be the subject of an article, with a link to René Lévesque Boulevard (or Boulevard René-Lévesque) as appropriate. — Grstain 06:14, July 26, 2005 (UTC)

I agree with the comments against the name of this article: René Lévesque (Dorchester) Boulevard. It makes no sense, does not reflect the name of the street. I just came from the article on St. Catherine Street. Will that article soon be Sainte-Catherine (Saint Catherine) Street too?

If you want to use the English term for street, avenue, boulevard, etc., then so be it. But let's not have this bastardized mish-mash! 'Nuff said. - Grammarian 17:12, July 26, 2005 (UTC)
