"Reality is the state of things as they really exist" ?!

Doesn't this sound a little bit circular?

Yes, in a way, but of course reality is such a broad and foundational term it is hard to briefly describe with other terms. I guess we can change it to Reality is generally held to be the "the state of things as they actually exist as opposed to how they possibly could exsist." Then again, we could just delete it outright, as wikipedia is not a dictionary. I think I will just remove for now. I'm not in the mood for a philosophical debate. Ok, scratch that.. the page is protected with vprotect, so only admins can edit.(due to mention on the Colbert Report). Hopefully one will look down from above, see our posts and graciously edit it for us. :) Danski14 01:04, 13 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

When I created this article, I just took the definition from the first line of the article reality. I've gone ahead and made your suggested change. Hopefully the Colbert vandalism fad will die down soon and the reality-related articles can be unprotected. --Ed (Edgar181) 13:34, 13 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
interesting that a Wikipedia author is against the factual importance of the wikipedia as recognized by Mr Colbert. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.40.82.38 (talk) 19:02, 22 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Great, I think the Vprotect is still reasonable. Danski14 17:37, 13 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
