Who runs what edit

There is some confusion as to who runs what.

  • It was always my understanding that Nighttrack was run by Goldline under contract to Reading Borough. This is reflected in the text under Goldline. But our article lists them as Reading Buses routes.
  • Likewise, the initial publicity for Reading Transport winning the 142 implied the bid was from Goldline. But the fleet list on RT's web site shows that the vehicle branded to operate the service belongs to the Reading Buses division, not the Goldline division.

Can anybody answer these questions for definate. Even better, provide a source we can cite. -- Starbois (talk) 15:42, 19 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

This page appears to be out of date and needs updating. I would promise to do it myself, but I am not a regular contributer and will likely forget.

Most of the Newbury Buses services are now run by Newbury & District (a brand owned by Weavaway Travel) or in the case of "The Link" entirely operated now by Stagecoach. Goldline is part of Reading Transport and the 142 is technically Goldline but I would imagine (but I can not cite, so its just my belief) that everything is managed together.

Pictures to be replaced edit

Several pictures in this page needs to be replaced as many of the buses have been replaced in real life. this includes the buses on the Route 17, 22, 23, 24 and 26 in which both have been replaced by different buses such as Electric Hybrid buses. Also the 142 needs to be removed as the route is now part of Thames Travel. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.28.99.104 (talk) 15:39, 15 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Reading TransportReading Buses – While the legal name remains Reading Transport, for all intents and purposes the company is now known as 'Reading Buses' so I propose that it should be moved and sorted under this name - as an example, if you were to look at the Goldline or other pages on Reading Buses' website, Reading Buses is the brand which is shown at the bottom, not Reading Transport. This should help contributors add up to date information and assets. --Relisted. walk victor falk talk 01:34, 8 April 2014 (UTC) Whistler 22:42, 23 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

730/731 New services Heathrow/Frimley/Basingstoke edit

Should these new services (Heathrow to Frimley 730, some journeys continuing to Basingstoke as 731) be referenced on this page, or on an expanded version of Berkshire bus routes 702 and 703, or as a new page in the style of 702/703 page? 217.33.8.94 (talk) 14:32, 1 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
