@Ar2332 Can you direct me to your source for this edit? I think you've misunderstood something. Maimonides rhymes אשי with משה, not with מקדשי, so far as I can see in the Iggeret. It's vol. 20 p. 104 in Rabinovich's edition of Maimonides works. GordonGlottal (talk) 15:01, 9 January 2024 (UTC)

OK great. It also occurs to me that both the Septuagint (ἁγιαστήριον τοῦ Θεοῦ) and the Peshitta (ܠܡܩܕܫܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ) use the singular instead of the plural in their translations of that passuq, as does one manuscript of Targum Psalms (לבית מקדשא אלהא), so it's possible that the gemara was reading the pasuq מִקְדְּשִׁי־אֵל instead of מִקְדְּשֵׁי־אֵל. No vowels in the time of the gemara and they sometimes use different readings than we ended up with. Slightly odd form of the noun but you do get the iy-suffix in singulars like אבי "father of" אחי "brother of" בני "son of" דברתי "word of" פי "mouth of" עזי "strength of" חולי "shaker of", מלכי-צדק, the title רבי, etc. I wonder if anyone's tried that argument.
