History copied from website edit

The company appears at a glance to have some minor notability so I've fixed the formatting and removed some of more egregious marketing language (the entire history section appears to have been copied from the website.) Needs more work, however, to meet WP:NPOV. Alaynestone (talk) 19:24, 6 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Rauland BorgRauland, a Division of AMETEK, Inc. – Company has been acquired and name has been legally changed. Sprb14 (talk) 20:43, 20 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 21:16, 20 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
  • @Sprb14: Queryable. "a Division of AMETEK, Inc." is a description rather than a name. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 21:16, 20 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
  • Opppose. Their legal name is unimportant. Suggested name violates several tenets of WP:AT such as Concision and Precision (names should be no more precise than necessary). Herostratus (talk) 04:22, 27 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

Page mixes up two related companies edit

The wiki page has incorrect information as it is mixing up information about the "Rauland Corporation" and the "Rauland-Borg Corporation". As noted in the referenced sources which have info from the company website, the original "Rauland Corporation" was founded in 1922 and was bought out in 1948 by Zenith. Rauland and Borg then went to found a new distinct company "Rauland-Borg Corporation" in 1948 which did many similar things to the old one but was distinct besides having a similar name and one of the same founders. 139.88.254.81 (talk) 18:07, 23 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
