Talk:Rare Bear

Rare Bear's claim to be the fastest propeller propelled aircraft cropped up on the Hawker Tempest page - um, I hate to bring the cold war back up, but before anyone says that too loudly they may want to read the performance specs of 1950s Russian airliners - the Tu114 in standard layout claims 541mph, albeit at altitude, (Rare bear claims 540mph at 5,000 feet) - couldn't find figures for record breaking variants of the Tu95 but in standard layout it claims 575 mph. Suspect you might want to change claim to "piston engined", though may be wise to check that, too.

Er, also, on further back ground checking this article appears to be plagarised from this site [1]. Winstonwolfe 05:06, 8 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
