Did I find an Error?

When it talks about the Rapala Giant 6ft lure, why was it listed under the "tools"? Quote,

"...and various fishing tools as well as the Rapala Giant 6 foot Lure."

Is it necessary?

I wondered if it was needed when (Quote)

*1962 – Life publishes article on Rapala. The issue it appeared featured a retrospective on the recently deceased Marilyn Monroe and proved to have the highest circulation in the magazine's history. As such, Rapala's article gave it enough exposure for it to receive two million orders for lures, overwhelming its company staff of two.

they talk about the "...Recently deceased Marilyn Monroe..." and I can't see why its there, or even what its purpose is. Should I remove it? Cheers, User:Shadowblade08 (talk) 01:30, 21 September 2020 (UTC)

The context is necessary, and I have restored it. Removing the fact that the issue had an unprecedented circulation would leave the reader with no explanation for why the number of orders was unexpectedly high. And removing the reason why the circulation was the highest ever makes it seem like a random event. Any image you find that is already on Commons, is fair game and "copyright free" for use on WP, and elsewhere. With this particular photo, it was submitted to Commons by the photographer, thereby releasing it for use. So, it is just fine! See WP:IMAGE, first paragraph. Working to improve article

This article was very thin so I figure I would see what I could dig up and add to it. I tend to add extra sources when I can, as a way for other editors to read what I have found and perhaps be able to find something else to expand from. I not a fan of the bullet point timeline and list of lures, but am not sure how to change those. Please feel free to work them into article format where you see fit so we can make this article look less like a bullet point list of products and highlights and more encyclopedic.
