Adventists edit
An editor wants to provide the views of the ransom of Seventh-day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses as separate sections, although both groups have exactly the same view on the matter, both being derived from their common Adventist origins. The editor's changes constitute undue weight to the separate groups. Since Gabby Merger has indicated at my User Talk page that she mistakenly believe I am victimising her, can other editors please provide input. Thanks.--Jeffro77 (talk) 02:47, 22 February 2015 (UTC)
In particular, the editor's preferred text asserted that the JW view was an innovation of Charles Taze Russell, whereas Russell's view as well as that of the SDAs was actually the view developeed by earlier Adventists such as William Miller. The editor also provided a section about Catholicism, but it was almost entirely made up of longwinded quotes rather than properly sourced prose adequately addressing the article's subject.--Jeffro77 (talk) 02:58, 22 February 2015 (UTC)
Theory? edit
Description of the 'ransom' as a 'theory' is almost certainly misleading, especially in the context of the branch of Christians who subscribe to creationism and very frequently misuse the term 'theory' in reference to evolution. Since the claims about the 'atonement' are supernatural and hence untestable, the concept barely constitutes a hypothesis, let alone a theory.--Jeffro77 (talk) 05:40, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
