"He failed to pass it twice but made it in his third attempt." this line has to be changed to "He cleared the examination in his third attempt". There is no need to stress on the failed part. 2405:204:D201:7621:AEFD:CEFF:FE76:5025 (talk) 12:52, 19 June 2017 (UTC)

@OhMyGodse: With what reliable sources? --Marvellous Spider-Man 09:11, 20 June 2017 (UTC)
Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. —MBlaze Lightning T 09:13, 20 June 2017 (UTC)

categories

Hi, just a short hint referring to categorization: since this wiki is already categorized, among others, by Category:20th-century Indian lawyers and Category:Supreme Court of India lawyers, there's no need to also categorize (again) Category:Indian lawyers (=category diffusion). thx for taking notice, Roland zh (talk) 22:18, 25 June 2017 (UTC)

Please change "He has also represented India at the UN and addressed the United Nations General Assembly in October 2002" to "He has also represented India at the UN and addressed the United Nations General Assembly in October 2003" Ref: https://documents-dds-ny.un.org/doc/UNDOC/GEN/N03/573/76/PDF/N0357376.pdf?OpenElement — Preceding unsigned comment added by 182.19.0.74 (talk) 12:09, 20 July 2017 (UTC)

Edits requested.

1. Please choose better picture of president Kovind.

2. In the controversies section, Hindustan Times got it wrong. He had said, ““Islam and Christianity are alien to the Notion” that ended with NOTION and not NATION. They further explained he was talking of the ‘notion of caste’ being alien to both Islam and Christianity.

3. Shiv Sena remark should be removed because Shiv Sena later openly supported BJP candidate, plus this page is about Kovind and not what other thinks of him.

  • I added what I think is a better picture available, and it appears to be the best picture available on the Commons. Secondly, the page is no longer protected, so you can make any other constructive edits you want without having to request them. Thanks! ‡ Єl Cid, Єl Caɱ̩peador ᐁT₳LKᐃ 15:36, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

He is the President-elect now. Can we bump up to this article from low importance? And flesh it out. Thank you. 2600:1012:B167:42D7:D5DD:33CA:3938:2CE1 (talk) 17:20, 21 July 2017 (UTC)

  • Hello, in the future please post on the bottom of talk pages instead of the bottom! (not a big deal). But as I said above, the article is no longer locked, so feel free to make constructive changes without requesting them! Also, consider making an account! Ram Kumar kovind never said that Christianity and Islam is alien to India. He actually said Islam and Christianity are alien to the notion of reservation against the proposal suggested for 15% reservation for them. He said, there is no cast system in both religion hence there is no notion of caste and its reservation. Media change Notion with nation notoriously. 83.110.81.127 (talk) 13:20, 22 July 2017 (UTC)

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 17:59, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
There is no need for any reliable source. The Government of India said it, the nation believes it. That seals it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.56.166.1 (talk) 12:52, 23 July 2017 (UTC)

Then add this reference saying that there is a confusion. Since wiki is a unbiased source, so it must consider presenting all sides.

Religion not mentioned..?

I was wondering whether more should be stated about the religion that Kovind adheres to. Farang Rak Tham (talk) 08:19, 31 July 2017 (UTC)

@Farang Rak Tham: Checking the President of India website, and pages therein for former presidents, none have religion mentioned. Not even APJ Abdul Kalam. So it is not appropriate to add religion to the article. --Whiteguru (talk) 06:30, 21 February 2021 (UTC)

Issues

Shouldn't it be 'Controversy' instead of 'issues' since we are talking about a person? 103.166.244.56 (talk) 09:29, 7 May 2022 (UTC)
