Needs work edit

I placed relevant templates on the article to indicate how the article needs work. I do not think he is notable per WP:ACADEMIC or WP:BASIC. The article gives too much promotional spin and detail of achievements without being supported by significant coverage in reliable sources. Delta13C (talk) 19:10, 28 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

I just realized I had previously placed these tags on back in January, but a user named Dukephc removed them after a single edit by RSnyderman. I suspect there may be a COI going on here. Delta13C (talk) 19:14, 28 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

I think the "may not be notable" flag should be removed because the man is a member of a national academy as cited in the article, which qualifies him as notable in academia Atm17 (talk) 17:49, 29 June 2016 (UTC) I stand corrected, someone deleted the citation from the page but good ol google found it https://nam.edu/member/?member_id=XjOY7AUk8abtRKjx6LZItA%3D%3D Atm17 (talk) 17:48, 29 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

You appear to be correct per WP:PROF. I removed the tag and added this info in the lede. Delta13C (talk) 18:04, 29 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Undue weight in lead edit

Hello, my name is Cindy and I am a paid editor. I'd like to ask that the community remove the first part of the first sentence of the lead: "...is a former member of the Purdue Pharma Board of Directors (2012-2017)", as this does not accurately summarize the subject and appears to violate to guidelines listed at WP:UNDO.Thank you for your time,CDSunshine071 (talk) 15:07, 15 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

I have removed this from the lead, it does appear it shouldn't be the first thing the article mentions. I can add the information back elsewhere in the article if you think that's better. Thanks, Simeon (talk) 17:03, 4 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
