In the German state of Bavaria, a mix of Weißbier (wheat beer) and lemonade is called a Russ. Weißbier mixed with cola is called a "Neger," the German word for Negro.
Beer mixed cola is called "Diesel" in the rest of Germany.
In many parts of Germany there is a difference made between "Alsterwasser" and "Radler" depending on whether you use lemonade (Alsterwasser) or orangeade (Radler).

Whether it originated in Scotland or not, Shandy is drunk throughout the United Kingdom and is a common drink. Since I've been drinking it for numerous years and I am English, I shall change that particular point. TheFartyDoctorTalk 21:24, 28 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
