Talk:RSC production of A Midsummer Night's Dream (1970)

Name edit

Unless there are several notable performances of this play by the RSC, that are likely to get articles of their own, it would probably be better to move this article to RSC production of A Midsummer Night's Dream; and if there are several notable performances, the common way to disambiguate them on Wikipedia would be RSC production of A Midsummer Night's Dream (1970) (and so forth, with the relevant year in parens). Note that you can use the “Move” function at the top of the page do this and leave a redirect behind at the old name, so this should not create any great trouble. --Xover (talk) 16:27, 2 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I moved the page before reading this, and yes, that makes sense. There clearly are/have been other notable productions of it by the RSC, but whether they'll get their own article remains to be seen. I've left it where I moved it to for the time being. I've also de-linked the bold article title in the first sentence, as per MOS guidelines. DionysosProteus (talk) 16:58, 2 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Good page move. For the record, the RSC performs this play pretty much every other year, so no-one would ever simply say "The RSC Dream".Downstage right (talk) 17:57, 2 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

More citations needed edit

I've not added a tag, as it looks like Downstage right is probably still working on it, but the claims made in the lede need some citations to justify themselves. Great work, though. DionysosProteus (talk) 17:00, 2 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

DR, the article is also relying almost exclusively on one source - the Williams book - so if you have any other Brook books handy, it'd be good to add in some citations from that, just to confirm that what Williams says has been verified elsewhere. Just a thought. DionysosProteus (talk) 18:07, 2 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fear not, it gathers apace.Downstage right (talk) 18:09, 2 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, let me just echo that: great work! --Xover (talk) 18:37, 2 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
