RAF Wyton is home to many Grob Tutor aircraft which are used for air experience flying, this is popular to cadet forces like the Air Training Corps. Wyton also has a museum for the Pathfinders, and displays an English Electric Canberra which is the RAF's first ever jet bomber. [[Image:Example.jpg]

Error regarding 543 sqn edit

543 Sqn operated a number of HP Victors in the strategic reconnaisance role, and not just a single aircraft of this type as stated. They disbanded May '74. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.155.12.209 (talk) 11:53, August 30, 2007 (UTC)

Opening Paragraph Error "decommissioned" edit

The airfield is now decommissioned but was used for flight training by 57(R) Squadron EFT, the University Air Squadrons of London and Cambridge and No. 5 Air Experience Flight. This is incorrect, clearly from Google Earth, the runway is still there, with light aircraft parked on the Apron. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.149.67.151 (talk) 14:05, 22 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

RAF Wyton Guard Room edit

In 1985, RAF Wyton was used to hold airmen sentenced to relatively short periods of detention. Such sentences were often doled out by station commanders for minor 'crimes', such as being late for duty, or as punishment for dating an officer's daughter, despite being ordered to desist - repeatedly.
